Autumn 2025’s hottest beauty trend is all about looking toasted. The look, which extends to both make-up and hair – embraces bronzy and brown shades to give warmth (yes, it’s similar to 2023’s latte makeup). As of tonight, Amal Clooney has joined in on the trend at The Albies. Of course, her go-to glam god, Dimitris Giannetos, was on hand to do it all.
“The inspiration for the make-up look was latte shades. I wanted it to stay within the colour palette of the dress,” Giannetos tells Vogue of the look, which was done completely using Charlotte Tilbury products like the Airbrush Flawless Filter Foundation and Instant Look Palette in Bronzed Beauty. “I always use warm-toned browns for dark eyes because it helps to make them pop. So does a hint of burgundy.”
For her famously luscious hair, Giannetos kept it simple and straightforward. “We went a bit darker for autumn,” he says, “with some Scandinavian-style face-framing pieces, which always helps to keep features soft and sweet.” He used the L’Oreal Paris Elvive Glycolic Serum on her strands before styling – and “a lot of Elnett hairspray” – to get her signature shine and hold for the big night.
Clooney, who styles herself, took the toasted note even further by selecting a chocolate brown off-the-shoulder gown by Atelier Versace by Dario Vitale for the evening. Toasting to social justice in a toasted beauty look. Cheers.
