Mia Khalifa has been online for some time. Some know her as the former adult film star who spoke out about inequalities within the porn industry, others know her as an Instagram model and TikTok influencer. If you asked her, she would tell you that she is a “cat mom and a designer”, first and foremost.
Many would also describe her as an icon. She is now the founder of her own brand, Sheytan, and the face of Vyrao’s latest fragrance campaign alongside Isamaya Ffrench. She is someone who is dedicated to her political values, and uses style as a platform to advocate for those who cant. If there is one thing we know about Mia Khalifa, it’s that she’s never let any kind of label stop her from being exactly who she is.
Ahead, we spoke with Khalifa about her style journey and how her heritage has changed the way she dresses, her current John Steinbeck obsession, and working with Vyrao.

What was is like to be in the new Vyrao campaign?
I just wanted to be a vessel for Yasmin, I felt so connected to the scent and the story that my involvement was just excitement
What is your relationship to personal style and how has it evolved?
“It’s taken me so long to find myself, my priority now is messaging and platforming. Fashion is political, and the brands we choose to wear are a statement that reflect our values too.”
How does your heritage and culture influence your style approach?
“That’s been the biggest change in my personal style, embracing my heritage vs my internalized shame completely changed the way I approached my style.”

Tell us about your favorite recent shopping purchase…
“I got a men’s LV soft trunk bag that I can’t stop reaching for on a daily. Matte black hardware is tough to find, I don’t always want a metal for every day.”
What’s the most random tab you have open right now and what’s the background?
“Mummy brown: a color the Smithsonian museum is in possession of that no longer exists because it was made by grinding down mummies.”
