This month, Disney+ brings prestige animation, “Star Wars” action, and a compelling Korean miniseries.
In spy romance K-drama “Tempest”, Jun Ji-hyun plays Seo Mun-ju, a skilled former diplomat who tries to uncover the truth behind an attempt on a presidential candidate’s life. Boasting an impressive cast including Gang Dong-won as Baek San-ho and John Cho as Anderson Miller, you won’t want to miss “Tempest” when it premiers on October 1.
On October 29, meanwhile, Disney embraces anime with “Disney Twisted Wonderland: The Animation.” It sees a high school student, Yu, face off against monsters and magicians as he’s suddenly transported to a mysterious world. His aim: make it back to his world in one piece.
The animated fun doesn’t end there, though. There’s also the premier of “Star Wars: Visions Volume 3” on October 29, which celebrates the mythos of “Star Wars” through nine differently styled anthology stories.
In terms of live action series, look out for “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 2”, which premiers October 8, and the all-new tween drama “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire”, which releases October 15.
Based on both the popular book saga and Disney Jr. series. “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire” is the first ever live-action adaptation. It sees a vampire girl try and adapt to a performing arts boarding school after leaving Transylvania.
