Taylor Swift is breaking from recent tradition and is appearing on late night TV, as well as talk radio to promote her latest project \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl.\u201d<\/p>\n
She met up with multiple DJs and interviewers in London to talk about the album, her recent engagement to Travis Kelce, bread and more. <\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a summary of what she said on the five radio interviews.<\/p>\n
The interview started out with host Greg James and Swift talking about the blueberry lemon sourdough bread that Swift brought him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe bread puns, I think the worse they are, the better,\u201d Swift joked. <\/p>\n
James called it \u201ca baller move\u201d to announce a pop album during a football podcast, referring to how Swift dropped the news about \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl\u201d during the \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast that Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, cohost. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m always trying to surprise people with how I announce albums,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
James argued that Swift is in love and that \u201cit\u2019s kinda gross.\u201d<\/p>\n
She agreed saying, \u201cYes, it\u2019s actually kind of wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n
Swift revealed that she recorded the album in Sweden, and that each time she returned home, she would play songs from the album for Kelce. <\/p>\n
\u201cI knew that this was the kind of album he was going to love the most,\u201d Swift said. \u2018He\u2019s like so supportive of all of it, but he\u2019s a real vibes guy.”<\/p>\n
When talking about the album, she first referenced the lead single \u201cThe Fate of Ophelia,\u201d and how it\u2019s a play on Shakespeare\u2019s \u201cHamlet,\u201d as if Ophelia didn\u2019t end up dying.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just love the idea of you saved me from love driving me mad because that\u2019s what happened to Ophelia, spoiler alert,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
On The Eras Tour, she said it was \u201castonishing\u201d what happened with how big of a deal the tour became. <\/p>\n
James started to say the magnitude of that experience was probably something she would have to appreciate in hindsight, and she said she knew it was something special even \u201cin the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNo I really did appreciate it in the moment,\u201d Swift said. \u201cI knew it was crazy what was happening. We have never had anything happen like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
