Speaking on the K\u0131br\u0131s Postas\u0131 TV program Sabah Postas\u0131<\/em>, Din\u00e7y\u00fcrek criticized CTP<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/a> leader and presidential candidate Tufan Erh\u00fcrman<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/a>, claiming that he would be unable to safeguard children\u2019s futures at the negotiating table, could not reach agreements with Turkey, and was wrongly promoting a \u201cSouth Cyprus identity\u201d while seeking the presidency of the TRNC. Din\u00e7y\u00fcrek reiterated that Turkey has adopted the two-state solution as official policy and that UBP\u2019s two-state resolution reflects this position.<\/p>\n \u201cTHE FEDERATION NEGOTIATION TABLE LEFT NOTHING FOR GREEK CYPRIOTS\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Din\u00e7y\u00fcrek recalled Turkey\u2019s stance that the federation chapter is closed, citing the Crans Montana negotiations where the Greek Cypriot side received significant concessions, including discussions of zero troops and zero guarantees, yet still walked away. \u201cThe position left on the table did not satisfy the Greek Cypriot administration. What more are you going to give?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n He challenged Erh\u00fcrman directly, urging him to explain publicly what he would concede, saying: \u201cWill you give G\u00fczelyurt, South Mesaoria, Karpaz? Will you give one-third of the lands? The people deserve to know.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDON\u2019T MISLEAD OUR PEOPLE WITH EMPTY PROMISES\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Din\u00e7y\u00fcrek questioned how children\u2019s futures could be secured under the previous negotiation positions, reminding that Turkey has officially adopted the two-state solution. He criticized Erh\u00fcrman\u2019s past inability to reach agreements with Turkey during the 2018 four-party coalition government and asked, \u201cIf this mindset could not agree on economic openings, what could it possibly achieve on the Cyprus issue?\u201d<\/p>\n Din\u00e7y\u00fcrek also claimed that Erh\u00fcrman misled children of mixed marriages with promises of \u201cCyprus Republic\u201d citizenship, and that promoting a South Cyprus identity while running to lead the TRNC is inappropriate. He recalled that during the Ak\u0131nc\u0131 era, Erh\u00fcrman was part of delegations that failed to reach any identity agreement, and noted that Greek Cypriots have become even more rigid since then.<\/p>\n \u201cERH\u00dcRMAN IS RUNNING TO LEAD A STATE HE DOESN\u2019T BELIEVE IN\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Referring to the TRNC Parliament\u2019s ceremonial opening on October 1, Din\u00e7y\u00fcrek said that UBP submitted the two-state resolution with 29 signatures and called on all parties to declare their positions. He insisted that UBP would continue policies in line with Turkey on two equal sovereign states and urged CTP<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/a> to clarify whether it supports discussions beyond federation. \u201cErh\u00fcrman is running to lead a state he doesn\u2019t believe in.
