Over the course of many years, the series has featured the likes of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ISkLBbZpBh8\">Neko Case<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Gt90fGVvo0s\">Xzibit<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=l4zSZtYPPlo\">Tony Hawk<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GHPY8icXOnk\">Bill Hader<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8cNxhxSZVhk\">Camera Obscura<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xwjIs4xuOVk\">Mark Mothersbaugh<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OfQ-irlexb8\">Norah Jones<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VAyfA8UMXY0\">Jon Batiste<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5WznlFoMd24\">Seal<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9HuNNPoAGvQ\">Matt Berry<\/a>, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eS2sGGE_pDU\">Rick Astley<\/a> (to name but a few).<\/p>\n<p>Back in 2022, Denver\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloodincantation.org\/\">Blood Incantation<\/a>\u2009\u2014\u2009one of the most acclaimed metal groups in recent history\u2009\u2014\u2009revealed the contents of their bags, and it\u2019s my favorite \u201cWhat\u2019s In My Bag?\u201d video so far.<\/p>\n<p>Not surprisingly, their picks include several metal releases (e.g., Fates Warning, Abigor), but also The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Tears For Fears, XTC, and the <i>Cowboy Bebop<\/i> soundtrack. It\u2019s abundantly clear that Blood Incantation are consummate music nerds, especially when they start reveling in their fondness for new age and electronic music, including Osamu Kitajima, Steve Hillage, Pauline Anna Strom, Yukihiro Takahashi, Michael Stearns, and Klaus Schulze.<\/p>\n<p>Those picks might seem odd for a death metal band. (If you haven\u2019t listened to 2022\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bloodincantation.bandcamp.com\/album\/timewave-zero-2\"><i>Timewave Zero<\/i><\/a>, that is.) But it\u2019s clear that Blood Incantation are passionate about all manner of strange and otherworldly music, and their enthusiasm makes me want to check out every single album they mention.
