The battle between the two aesthetics pushed me to lean even further into easy minimalism than I ever have, and the star piece that has taken over my wardrobe during this transformation? The 1990s-inspired bias-cut midi dress has become a staple of the Australian brand. Crafted from 100 percent silk, with a subtle V-neck and adjustable spaghetti straps, this piece retails for $290 and is available in a variety of hues and prints. I first bought it in a matte, dusty black<\/a> before collecting it in navy, pearl-white, electric gray, and, possibly my favorite, an abstract painterly print<\/a> with an ivory base (which retails for a mere $5 more than the original). <\/p>\n

During the summer, I wore the slip on steamy days in New York City and hot evenings around Europe with my go-to leather thong sandals from Tory Burch<\/a> and the leather shell pendant from Poelle<\/a>, which I\u2019ve managed to style with everything this season. (For traveling, the slip proved to be the perfect companion, as it took up nearly no space in my bag and required minimal steaming.)<\/p>\n

On slow Fridays and errand-filled Sundays, I wore ribbed tanks or cropped tees over the dress and threw on my trusty Adidas Sambas or mesh Coach flats<\/a> for comfort. On Saturday nights, I zhuzhed up the slip with a silk Dior scarf tied around my waist like a belt\u2014another seasonal trend that captured me and won\u2019t let me go.<\/p>\n
